CEO & President

Founder and President of Life Sports Media and Entertainment (LSME), Todd’s passion for sports has always been in focus and his entrepreneurial drive intact. A unique combination of talent and insight, Todd has made lasting impressions through his representation of professional athletes during his 15-year career as a seasoned agent and brand manager.

Since the age of 19, Todd worked alongside and was mentored by some of the most prominent figures in basketball; leaving his mark both on and off the court.

Todd mastered his full-court game as a former elite college athlete at UCLA and continues to set the pace as the founder of his global sports agency by demonstrating his expertise in the areas of player recruitment, development, team contract negotiations, free-agency, marketing, partnership and endorsements deals. While advocating for his clients’ professional careers, Todd remains steadfast and grounded in his belief that every client should uphold that important balance between career, family, and community.

A NBPA and FIBA certified agent and contract advisor, Todd oversees the day-to-day needs of LSME’s basketball clients by way of interfacing with NBA team executives, Fortune 500 brand executives, athletes, their families, and beyond.

At the age of 24, Todd was the youngest NBPA certified agent representing NBA all-star and longtime client Baron Davis. Todd’s continued representation of the NBA guard set a new precedent; one that was both unanticipated and momentous. In 2008, Todd single-handedly managed Baron’s right to exercise his Early Termination Option (ETO) in his final year with the Golden State Warriors resulting in the then-celebrated signing of a $70M deal with the LA Clippers. This deal coincided Todd’s closing of the first-ever eight-figure NBA player endorsement deal with a Chinese shoe brand, setting the stage for future NBA superstars.

  Todd furthered his career by expanding his portfolio of reputable NBA clients and by continuing to successfully direct the course of several multiple multi-million dollar endorsements and partnerships with fortune 500 companies like Nike, Adidas, Vitamin Water, and EA Sports.

As LSME embarks on its next phase in sports management, entertainment marketing, e-sports, and content creation, Todd’s ambition, poise, entrepreneurship, and balance remains the driving force behind the success of LSME and their global clientele.


VP, Business Development and Brand Strategy

As head of business development and brand strategy, Khaila directs multi-million-dollar marketing initiatives, global partnerships and brand development opportunities for LSME and its roster of NBA clients.

A seasoned deal-closer, strategic thinker, and veteran in her own right, Khaila stays at the pulse of the industry with an eye on, and an ear to, “what’s next.” Khaila’s expertise spans business development, strategic marketing, content development and entertainment; all areas that drive her unwavering focus and meticulous ability to engineer individualized marketing strategies and disseminate brand narratives that are authentic, lasting, and true to the essence of each client.

Prior to LSME, Khaila spent 12 years as a music industry executive; climbing her way up as the Executive Vice President of Operations for an integrated music group that housed music production, recording artist management, and music publishing divisions.  Over the course of her music career at Stewart Music Group, Khaila spearheaded the day-to-day operations and global marketing strategies; giving rise to a series of career milestones.

In partnership with Laney Stewart, renowned music executive and award winning producer, Khaila was instrumental in the development and closing of a multi-million-dollar joint venture between Stewart Music Group and Universal Music Publishing Group. The deal tripled the company’s working capital, expanded the client roster, multiplied the footprint and reach, and solidified Stewart Music Group’s reputation as an industry powerhouse.

From 2014-2016, Khaila served as the Executive Director of Development at Big Block Entertainment, a global media company, crafting content and marketing strategies. While at Big Block Entertainment, Khaila developed a robust slate of episodic short form digital content, centered around social media influencers in music, comedy, and sports that was launching on a multi-platform digital network.

As LSME embarks on the next phase of sports and entertainment marketing, Khaila continues to expand the agency’s practice, oversee daily the operations, and develop strategies for global revenue-generating opportunities across new areas in sports. Khaila is a cum laude graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and proud to call Los Angeles her hometown.


VP, Player Representation

As a respected corporate attorney and NBPA and FIBA certified agent, Jaafar brings to LIFE Sports Media and Entertainment (LSME) 12 years of experience and a focused expertise in the areas of athlete recruitment, player development, and contract negotiations. 

  Jaafar serves as LSME’s Vice President of Player Representation. The breadth of Jaafar’s skills, coupled with his dedication and meticulous management approach have earned Jaafar notability throughout the NBA and professional basketball leagues worldwide. As a seasoned agent, Jaafar proactively remains at the center of his client’s NBA preparation and transition both on and off the court; offering strategic insight and guidance as it relates to physical training, team placement and negotiations, brand marketing and licensing, and estate planning.

  Concurrent with his work in sports representation, Jaafar serves as a leading attorney at one of the country’s premier intellectual property law firms. From foreign government contract negotiations, to corporate acquisitions, to trademark and copyright protection, Jaafar’s legal expertise runs the gamut. His success across such diverse areas of law is continuous and is proven through his thoughtful and celebrated negotiation of several multi-million dollar business transactions; setting a respected precedent for his counterparts in the legal community.

Over the course of Jaafar’s career, he has successfully negotiated global brand licensing agreements for world-renowned professional athletes, entertainers, and top Fortune 500 companies alike.

​Jaafar’s network continues to grow as he frequently keynotes top sports and entertainment law industry seminars and discussion panels around the world. When Jaafar isn’t representing clients, he serves as the managing partner of his family’s prominent hospitality group in Orlando, Florida; overseeing the operations and development of several restaurants within their portfolio. Jaafar has been a self-proclaimed foodie since childhood and a long-time dining partner of gastronomic legends at world renowned establishments.

Jaafar received his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School, has a BBA with honors in International Finance and Sports Management from the University of Miami, and is fluent in French.
